nvidia nforce ethernet card, enabling it?
Afternoon all.
to cut a long story short my realtek NIC died and I am now having to use my onboard NIC on my Abit NF7-s rev2.0 (nforce 2 chipset) motherboard. The onboard NIC does work and is enabled (using it now under windows 2000) And I have installed the Linux nforce driver which was all fine. but I am having difficulty selecting the NIC under slackware 10.1 - kernel 2.4.29. In the readme it states that I need to configure my /etc/modules.conf file and then it has this bit Quote:
thanks. |
Well, my modules.conf looks like this:
Code:
alias wlan0 prism2_usb |
Many thanks goes out to you WMD. Looking back at it now and re-reading I feel quite an idiot as its so simple now.
I can't put the blame on anything else apart from my own nerve-ness of breaking my slackware. again thanks and i'm sure I won't have this problem again. |
