nVidia nForce Drivers

My motherboard, the Biostar M7NCD Pro, uses nVidia nForce drivers for things such as audio and LAN. I have a home network and the only way I can connect to the internet is by the USB cable between computer/modem (thus limiting only one computer to the internet unless I use Windows) I posted a topic about this last night but am making a new one since I've narrowed it down I think. Since the internet works when I use the USB cable then the problem must be in the networking. I thought that nVidia drivers were included with slackware. What should I do? I installed the only Linux nVidia drivers I could find but that didn't seem to fix anything. Another post I made was about sound, and the guy gave me a command to fix it. My sound is onboard too, nVidia drivers as well, so I'm assuming my drivers are installed just not activated or something. I already did netconfig and have it all set to automatically obtain the stuff.

Thanks, this is an urgent problem so any help is appreciated.

Download this file: http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/n....0-0261.tar.gz

Extract it, it will make a dir called nforce. Go into it and type "make && make install". Then type "modprobe nvnet" and re-run whatever scripts needed to set up your internet (/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 on slackware). Hope this helps :)

I was told on another forum that nVidia drivers aren't included with Slackware, yet I was told by other people that they were. People in #slackware told me to buy a new nic so I did, I then got frustrated and reinstalled slackware (still didn't work) I'll try your directions. Where should I put the dir?
