Nvidia module

There is a Nvidia audio module that the kernel try's to insmod on boot, but the module fails. My sound still works fine without the module, but I cant seem to stop the module from trying to insert on boot. I have looked in both /etc/modules.conf and /etc/rc.d/rc.modules and I cannot find anything in relation to it.

It's not affecting the system at all in anyway, its just annoying watching the screen fill up with "Cannot locate module nvaudio.o"

Thanks in advance

Kristijan

add it to ur blacklist.... I THINK it is in /etc/hotplug/blacklist ... but Im not sure... Im on Windows right now, and cant check... Just wait a bit, and somebody else will be along to tell u exactly where that file is... NOTE - u have to add it in the right place... You cant just insert it right at the top, or at the bottom, u need to go to the right section in the file, and add nvaudio.o there...

Wynd: My rc.local file is fine, it just has random commands that I have added in there. Nothing in relation to the nvidia.o

Kristijan, it is /etc/hotplug/blacklist ... blacklist is a file, and u add ur module name to it, to prevent it from loading at startup.....
