Unhappy NTFS-3g isn't mounting my NTFS partition...

I installed fuse and ntfs-3g from linuxpackages, the installation went fine but whatever I try to mount a file system as ntfs-3g it doesn't mount and it doesn't return any error message either, could this be a kernel related issue? I'm using a 2.6.17.13 kernel that came with slackware (huge26.s)

Quote:
root@slackware:/# dmesg | grep fuse
fuse init (API version 7.8)
fuse distribution version: 2.6.3
root@slackware:/# mkdir /data
root@slackware:/# mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/hda2 /data
root@slackware:/# df -k /data
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hdc2 14996208 10070248 4925960 68% /

Try entering just ntfs-3g /dev/hda2 /data

It happened to me once that ntfs-3g wouldn't mount the partition unless I ran chkdsk on it from Windows. Check your dmesg.

I found out what was wrong, installed a 64bit ntfs-3g instead of a 32bit version.... I was very tired from work last night and didn't pay attention...
