I still have a Slackware 8.1 box that's been running for 10 years. Looks like it's finally time to upgrade. :-)

lol Chess, i was thinking of installing an older version for my PIII with Gnome2.X before it got mangled.
What do you think of Enlightenment as a light desktop?

ruario 07-13-2012 12:53 AM

It seems reasonable to me. If you have had such systems since they came out you have had a good run for your money.

luckily one of my server is running 12.2, so i still have time before Pat discontinued it :)

Wait "INPENDING". Pat makes mistakes? My world is collapsing. :p

How come did it not come in a MS-word proprietary and digitally signed document and why was it not on CNN?

You should be keeping up with security patches regardless. I also have a box still on 8.1 but it no longer really resembles the original installation ;)

I think it is awesome that Pat is willing to continue to support 12.2 for the time being.
