I agree, Alien Bob. I'm of the mindset that anything can be hacked by someone with the skill, tools and time. I wasn't trying to suggest not using encryption, and I wasn't trying to start an off-topic discussion. My wifi equipment is old (802.11b) and doesn't have wpa, but I'm in an environment where the biggest threat would be a wardriver. Even when I was in an apartment all my [obviously not tech-savvy] neighbors used wide-open unencrypted defaults. I had a router for each day of the week. My router doesn't broadcast SSID, DHCP is off, the IP range is non-default and MAC filtering is on.
