Noob wanting to install a different windows manager

Hi,
I run ubuntu, xubuntu, and slackware 12.2 (with xfce). I thought I'd install slackware 13 as a VM machine last night and went for the KDE option. Jesus H Christ, what a mistake....
I've tried googling but dont get anything specific enough for my small brain to cope with. If I wanna go back to xfce or try fluxbox do i have to install something? Or pick it from an option on the kde desktop? Sorry for the stupid questions.

Just type xwmconfig on a terminal to select a different WM.

That is of course if you are starting out in runlevel 3. If starting on runlevel 4, then you can easily select a different WM from the kdm log in manager.

Ok mate, cheers for that.
I shall give it a go tonight. I kept reading stuff about an rc.4 folder and it was getting me all confused :)

Thanks again.

At run level 3 run this as root:

# xwmconfig

That will open a window where you can select fluxbox or other environments. If you did a full install you have a number to choose from. :)

Edit: Damn. I see my suggestion was already posted. :)

Cheers all,
that worked a treat :)
