i (almost) always get a blue screen when i try to watch videos on my CRT (second monitor connected to my laptop).
when i set the CRT right of the LCD with xrandr everything works fine.
but i want the CRT to show the same screen as the LCD.
one workaround is
Code:
$ xrandr --output LVDS --right-of VGA-0
$ xrandr --output VGA-0 --same-as LVDS
after these commands i'm able to see the video an both screens.
another way is the tool xvattr. with
Code:
$ xvattr -a XV_CRTC -v 1
the video is displayed on the CRT but the LCD shows a blue screen.
i'm looking for a better, direct solution.
my Xorg version is 1.4.0.90 and i have an ATI Mobility M7 with 32MB.
