No USB support that I can add.

Ok, I have been trying in vain to get Hotplug to recognise my various usb devices for a while now, but from what I have read, before I can access them I must use Hotplug to somehow add USB support into /proc/bus/usb. Having tried the advice here: ww w.computing. net/linux/wwwboard/forum/27449.html which I found while browsing for an answer I have found I do have USB support in the kernel, but I am at a loss as to how to activate it...

Can anyone lend a hand?

I will look through the Gentto one, is it the same? I remember Gentoo for descriptive and plain installation notes so that is a definate thing to look into.

I am fairly sure I have hotplug, as the bash recognises the command 'hoptplug' and gives me a very limited reply about it's syntax. Anyway, thanks for the help, I will be off trying to get it again :P.
