No sound with Firefox when logged in as user
I just upgraded to version 13.37 after many happy years with version 9 ( wireless has gotten much easier :) ).
The problem I'm having is that if I'm logged in as root Firefox has sound, as would be expected. However, if I'm logged in as a user Firefox has no sound.
When logged in as a user, system sounds are working and I'm able to play mp3s, etc.
I've checked the permissions on /dev/dsp and /dev/snd and they're ok. As a user I also belong to the audio and video groups.
This seems like some sort of permission problem so if anyone knows what I've missed or done wrong please let me know.
Thanks very much!

trist007 - I'm ashamed to admit that I came across the solution you suggested while I was googling around yesterday and I thought "Nah, that'll never work" and didn't even try it. Well, you were absolutely correct, that solved the problem...Thanks very much!
