Have you run alsaconf as root yet?

A little more information would be helpful. The MSI website indicates that your audio device is:
• 7.1 channel audio codec RealTek ALC850, and that it is compliant with AC97 codec v2.3 specification.

What kernel are you using?
Do you have the sound module loaded?
Have you run alsaconf?

From the command line run alsaconf as root.
That should get you up and running.
Worked fine for me after a fresh install.

Hi underworld288

Can you cut and paste the output of the following commands as root

lspci

and

lsmod

then we can assist you further

ps the first time is always hard , the second time is a laugh.
