Question No mouse Pointer in Gnome????

I have Slack 8.1 full install.
Configured Xwindows, startx, get into Gnome and my mouse has no pointer. I can move it around and i know it is there by highlighting things with it.

Anyone know how i can get the pointer to show up?

Thanks,
