No internet through DSL Router.

Hi. I recently installed Slackware 10.2 sucessfully my only problem is that i cant get no internet. I have a DSL Router. The network is working fine because i can ping the router, i can ping other clients on the local network and i can even ping external clients (sites, e.g: google.com). Also i can open the router's configuration webpage on Mozilla Firefox which is 192.168.1.1 but i just can't access the internet. I tried setting up a static ip but the result was the same. Please help me.
Sorry for the bad english, I'm Portuguese

do you have other workstations that can access the internet via http?

if so, you probably have a proxy error.

I've run into this before. I think i had to disable automatic proxy detection in firefox. Or select no proxy.

I hope this helps

Hi again. Well after all i was wrong, i can't ping external hosts! I can only ping local hosts from my home network and the router. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Did you try to add :
nameserver 192.168.1.1

in /etc/resolv.conf ? or eventually your ISP's nameserver IPs

You can simply rerun "netconfig" and will be questioned about your gateway address.
