If you are running with your computer named "darkstar" you may want to login as root and run netconfig to setup your network system properly using DHCP or your Static IP addressing.

I think i found cause of my all problems with no internet. DHCP deamon doesen't work. I have to enter, as a root:

Quote:
dhclient eth1
at every boot in order to connect to internet. Don't know why dhcp deamons doesen't start automatically at boot. I even created a file and put script from Alien Bob webpage. than chmodded it, but id doesen't work either for me.

I had to put

Quote:
dhclient eth1
to a /etc/rc.d/rc.local

I would like to know why without this, dhcp deamon doesn't run automatically at boot. Is there a way to configure it in some way?

In general these pages are completely outdated but still highly apply sometimes for example.. HERE
http://www.slackware.com/config/network.php

Or you can edit rc.inet1.conf to run /sbin/dhcpd for you.
