Like the title says, as far as i know, there is no more fortune included (at least on the dvd installation) on the slackware x86_64 version 13.37. I have searched on the packages and it seams that they didn't include it. I made this thread only to ask the community why the slackware creators doesn't include that package anymore.

The bsd-games package is in the [Y] package group. Slackware wouldn't be Slackware without it.
You mean the fortune that comes up on Linux mint when you open a terminal ??
Ahh I hate that lol
Hope someone can help though
good luck and stay safe.
Please don't do this. If you can't help with a problem, it's probably better not to give the first reply, as it will take the thread off the zero replies list and stop it being automatically bumped.
I did a full install (which is recommended) of the 64 bit Slackware 13.37 and I get my "fortune" when I login using my regular user account, and when I "su -" to root.
Thank you for your rapid response. I know now what happened, i didn't include the games package my bad. I think that should be it. I just posted this thread because i was alarmed about the absence of fortune.
