No desktop after KDE upgrade

Hello everybody!
After I have upgraded my KDE version to the latest one everything went fine except that I have no desktop. Instead of my old shortcuts and desktop I get a grey wallpaper with no shortcuts at all. Apart from this my right click is dead.
Does anybody have any idea how could I fix this?

is KDE set as your default desktop??
