If you want to know which is the main configuration file, yes, it's that, but configuration has been broken in many subfiles beside the main one, you can find the rest in /etc/httpd/extra/ (and some stuff is in the /etc/httpd directory itself).
I took a class in Ruby on Rails last semester and we used Apache2, so I have all the instructions on how to configure a site's virtual host file in:
and that sort of thing...
I think I just need to uncomment the vhosts line in httpd.conf and then edit the ./extra/httpd-vhosts.conf file.
