nm-applet is not shown in tint2

The nm-applet icon is not shown in the tint2 panel:
bash-4.2$ nm-applet &
[4] 16157
bash-4.2$ icon with depth: 32
** Message: applet now removed from the notification area
** Message: applet now embedded in the notification area

If I run the stalonetray notification, the nm-applet icon is shown in it.
Thank you for your help.

That is expected behaviour. nm-applet is a system tray application, and requires that a system tray is present.

Thank you, allend. My question is why nm-applet is not shown in tint2 configured to display the system tray applications.

Try this:

1. do an SVN build of tint2, using my script:

https://github.com/duganchen/my_slac...nt2.SlackBuild

2. Use Crunchbang's tint2 config (which I've modified only to change fonts):

https://github.com/duganchen/dotfile.../tint2/tint2rc

It works for me.
