NFSv4 uid mapping

Hello,
as I learned so far, on NFSv4 server you can use user id mapping which takes the user name from the remote client and translates it to the uid on the local server. On other distributions the rpc.idmapd service is used, how can I get this working on Slackware 14.0?

Slackware doesn't support NFSv4.

There are several slackbuilds here that support kerberized NFSv4:

They are for testing purposes and I haven't used them in production environment.

Have fun.
