nfs version 4 support lacking in 10.2

After compiling kernels to include NFS v4 support, I get the following trying to mount -t nfs box:/share -o nfsvers=4:

NFSv4 not supported!

All relevant pkgs are current:

slapt-get --search nfs
autofs-3.1.7-i386-1 [inst=yes]: autofs (kernel-based automounter)

nfs-utils-1.0.7-i486-1 [inst=yes]: nfs-utils (Network File System daemons and utilities)

portmap-5.0-i486-1 [inst=yes]: portmap (a daemon to manage RPC connections)

util-linux-2.12p-i486-2 [inst=yes]: util-linux (a huge collection of essential utilities)
--------------------------------------------------------
When will NFS version 4 support be included in slackware?

Never mind. After trying to rebuild nfs-utils, I've found additional pkgs are required, not the least of which is ldap, another unsupported protocol in Slackware.

ardya,

Alien Bob made openldap packages and so far they work quite well for me.

Here is a link to his packages directory:

OpenLDAP is included in Slackware 11.0 which is literally waiting for you around the corner.
