FIXED nForce2 nic problem, slackware 10

Normally when I install Slackware 10, my nic works right away, using DHCP, however that doesn't seem to be the case anymore

I once had a problem where it didn't work, however the slackware install script complained it couldn't find my nic, however it doesn't do that now, everything seems to go smooth.

I have reinstalled 3 times, with the same results.

I'm able to connect to the internet with windows, so I guess that leaves out a faulty nic

I'm unsure what the module is called, the mobo is listed in my sig

Thanks for any help.

I fixed it with adding: alias eth0 forcedeth to my /etc/modprobe.conf.

No idea why I had to do that, but at least its working now
