Or how about this one: "And Bob replied unto them saying, 'For Patrick so loved Slackers, that he gave them his only beloved brain-child, that whosoever believeth in it should not despair, but have everlasting joy'". - St. Brian 3:16

O Saint Brian, spiritual leader of the LQ crowd,
although we are always unworthy, we beseech you
that with your prayers you may encircle us
with the protection of the wings of your angelic glory.

Watch over us as we bow low and earnestly cry out to you:
Deliver us from the release date anguish,
O Prince of the heavenly armies

We cast ourselves at your feet and humbly beg of you
to take this new release affair which we recommend to you
under your special protection.

By the power of the Subgenius,
thrust into hell the naysayers and all the evil spirits who wander
through the forums for the ruin of our souls.

O Bob, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is systemd, let me sow sysV init.
Where there is PAM, let me sow /etc/passwd.
Where there is Ubuntu, let me sow Slackware.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
ask for new release as to console with current.
For it is in waiting that we are born to eternal updates.

.

I identify with all three issues, but the last one especially. Let not Ubuntu be the language of Linux, but Slackware. Well it has been said, and well worth repeating:

If you want to learn Debian, install Debian.
If you want to learn Fedora, install Fedora.
If you want to learn Ubuntu, install Ubuntu.
If you want to learn Linux, install Slackware.

Sweetmorn, the 65th day of Confusion in the YOLD 3181

Unfortunately, my wings are moulting at the moment. Feathers all over the place. :(
When I get my full plumage back, you'll be protected.
