You will have to check and see if you installed a bootloader of some sort I guess. I don't know anything about SuSE. I'm sorry I can't help you out. :(
Is there anyone who can clear this up for us please? |
I'm glad it worked for someone =)
As for disabling agpgart. If you don't want to recompile the kernel to exclude agpgart support just add this line to your /etc/lilo.conf (assuming you are using lilo): 'append=agpgart=no' This line should go just above the 'read-only' line in your boot configuration, without the quotes of course. Save the file and reinstall lilo: '/sbin/lilo' or just 'lilo' again without the quotes! cheers! |
Couldn't I just tell it "apggart=no" at boot time when LILO asks what to boot?
|
Of course you can, but instead of typing it you could do as i suggested and put it into the lilo.conf file and you won't have to type 'agpgart=no' every time you boot.

its been a while since I installed the NVIDIA drivers, but I seem to recall that the NVIDIA docs recommended commenting out the "load glx" line in the config file. Or maybe the docs told you to insert the line - i don't remember. But it might be worth checking it out anyway
