Been working just fine here since yesterday. (I was bored so I ran my update script.)

The new kernel is working well here too on my stable boxes and -current box.
Code:
Linux thor 4.4.75 #2 SMP Fri Jun 30 02:57:58 CDT 2017 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux |
4.9.35 is working good here! ;)
|
always exciting, don't know when I did last my kernel install on this machine.
forza unlimited history in my root bash, so the mkinitrd command and the copying to EFI folder was still there ;-) to me it seems the EFI is much smother than the old bios boot MBR update, problem is only, I do this so seldom, I forget always how things work |
Stray files
My install of the Slackware64-14.2 package kernel-source-4.4.74-noarch-1 left some stray files behind in my / directory:

Anyway, the (non-arm) system is running fine. I was just caught off-guard by the stray files. |
I just updated and not reboot yet so..

Linux slackwhere 4.4.74 #2 SMP Mon Jun 26 02:44:52 CDT 2017 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2760QM CPU @ 2.40GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux |
