New Kernel Compile Issues.

I recompiled my kernel as per the instructions in sticky post.

When i reboot i get a kernel panic that the there is no valid root= line in lilo.conf, but I just copied what was already in the lilo.conf and changed the vmlinuz to the new kernel name.

Can you post the contents of lilo.conf?

Did you remember to run lilo after editing the .conf file?
