New kernel = font problem at times!

Ever since I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.9, every so often when I boot and KDE loads my desktop fonts, menu fonts etc. are like twice the size they normally are, and killing X and restarting by the usual ctrl>alt>bckspace then startx fixes the problem. Why is this doing this and how do I fix it so it never hapens again?

Have you looked in the X log to see if any error messages are popping up?

>cat /var/log/XFree86.0.log | grep 'EE' (the xorg one is xorg.0.log I believe)

Might be a good place to start. Post the output here and we will take a look.

john@slovak:~$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep 'EE'
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
