new 9.1 install problem with man pages

new install of slackware 9.1
MANPATH is setup, so I can ls the pages
cannot find the man command.
find / -name man fails!
konqueror "man:ls" works. "man:man" does not.

Suggestions Please.

wow... maybe you accidently said no when the man utility package came up during install.

Have you looked in /var/log/packages
whether they actually got installed?

less /var/log/[ackages/man<tab>

Check whether you find inconsitencies
in the actual paths and the paths the file
suggests.
