My Slack is connected to WIndows networkusing Samba. I've used KDE Printing Manager to add new printer. I got the printer using SCAN and added them. But I just can't get it to print. Any ideas? I'm printing to a Laserjet.

Also I need to add another Deskjet. When I'm brought to the drivers windows, there is no driver available for that driver. What can be done?

I thought the driver is already installed in my windoze server and I don't know why I need to reselect the driver.

Is anything reported in your logs about printers (look in /var/log/). I've never used the KDE print manager so I'm not sure of the process it uses to add printers - whats in your /etc/printcap file?

As for the Windows driver... Your linux box needs to be configured to pass data to Windows in a format that the printer understands as its unable to make use of the Windows driver(s) (not completely true if you are using a PostScript printer). Effectively this means you need to configure each linux client individually regardless of yoru server config (unless you are using something nice like CUPS).
