network drive

I was wondering if you can mount a network share as a local drive similar to mapping a network drive in windows.

I have 2 computers at home, a XP machine and slack machine that I use as a webserver and ftp server.

I have many files on my windows machine I would like to have available via ftp or through my website to download, but I don't want to move them all to my slackware machine because of disk space issues.

Is there a way to mount the windows share as a local drive so I can access it through ftp on my slackware box?

Have a look here first:

http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/SMB-HOWTO.html

It's a little outdated (e.g.: no references to winxp), but works. You'll find how to configure your samba and how to mount a smb share in the Linux tree.
