netconfig not going beyond domain screen
 

Recent Slack convert - trying to get netconfig running. When I type 'netconfig' from Konsole (as root) I get the screen that asks me for my host, I enter "localhost", it then goes to the domain screen, I enter "localdomain" and then it exits netconfig and goes back to the Konsole screen. Did I perhaps d/l a bad package? If so, which one and where can I get it?

localhost will be created automatically for you, instead put in something like (or whatever)

mygroovycomputer

and then

mylan.org

and it should proceed.

Don't know if that's specifically the problem as I haven't even bothered with netconfig, but he who dares...

thanks for the quick response, however, that didn't work. Still same result...goes back to the Konsole after I enter the "domain name"
