I think I need to install series A & AP; I'm not sure which other series I need to install. I saw a few programs in the other series I would like to install, but I don't think I need them all. Can you help me to decide which programs to install?

Which bootloader lilo or grub; How would I install grub?

I'm not sure which boot disc to use.

computer: is a Dell Optiplex GX100.
Processor is a celeron 800mhz
IDE drive

CD-rewritable drive: Hewlet packard Model CED-8080B

I'm also having problems with my floppy drive. I try to format and it gives me an error: error formatting track #0
I tried a number of floppies. It mounts and reads them O.K.
Can I make a boot disk with a CD?

for bootloaders, lilo is installed by default. If you want grub, you can install it later.
