Need help configuring HP Office Jet 6210???

Hello all,
I'm running Slackware11 and I'm trying to get CUPS to work with my printer, HP6210...
I've tried installing the HPLIP driver, but when I type in `make install` I get this error...
/bin/sh: line 4: hplip: command not found
make[3]: *** [install-data-hook] Error 127
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/southpaw76/hplip-1.6.10'
make[2]: *** [install-data-am] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/southpaw76/hplip-1.6.10'
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/southpaw76/hplip-1.6.10'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
...also when I tried logging into the CUPS web interface I get "Problem loading page" error. Does anyone have any ideas, anything would be much appreciated, thanx...

Hi Southpaw76,

you don't have to compile hplip yourself. There is a precompiled package in /testing that seems to work good with most printers. You only have to compile it on your own if you have a network printer.

EDIT: changed to right folder, not /extra but /testing
