File manager config in Gnome all in 1 window

Hi there,
I'd like my Gnome 2.6 to act as an older version of gnome. Is there a way to make something, so that its file manager opened every folder in the same window? Plz help anyone.

When you start nautilus as browser (nautilus --browser) it'll display every folder in the same window.
Also is possible to display so in normal mode, but for it you must edit gconf. But I don't now what to
modify in gconf .
I'll look for it .

I've got Slackware 10.0 with gnome 2.6 too.

I have this utility called GConf editor. It's a graphical GConf editor Anyway, with it I go to Apps -> nautilus -> preferences and I click on always_use_browser. Voila.

Guess what? GConf command does not exist, and there is no such a thing as always_use_browser_Voila.
Moreover, in the Preferences the check box "OPen activated items in a new window" is not selected, yet my Nautilus opens everything in a new window. How do you fix that?
