nautilus cant open x-gnome-app-info type

Hey, I am having a problem with Gnome 2.8 and XFCE4.2, but i think it is more of a Gnome issue. I upgraded to Gnome 2.8 via Dropline, and i got everything installed and working.

The problem is when i am using the xfce window manger and i am browsing the Gnome Application menu, all of the short-cuts have no associations. For example, if i am at the following location in nautilus: 'applications:///Games' all of the short-cuts have the extension .desktop and they have that same "missing" icon. when i double click the icon, i get the following error: nautilus has no viewer capable of displaying the file.

I looked in the file ~/.gnome/mime-info/user.keys and there was no definition for the mime type x-gnome-app-info. The file says it was generated by, gnome-vfs-info so does anyone know how i can regenerate this file so that my short-cuts work again, any other way to get things working again. Thanks for the help.

Karl
