mysql-administrator gui freezes

I get this error (and the gui freezes) when I click on the "user Administration" tab in mysql-administrator:

Code:
(mysql-administrator-bin:19631): libglade-WARNING **: Could not load support for `gnome': libgnome.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I installed gnome-libs1x version 1.4.1.7 off linuxpackages.net, now when I try the same thing I get this error:

Code:
(mysql-administrator-bin:18078): libglade-WARNING **: Could not load support for `gnome': /usr/lib/libgnome.so: undefined symbol: poptHelpOptions
I'm using MySQL Administrator 1.1.6 also from linuxpackages.net

My version of popt is popt-1.7-i386-1

Using slackware-current

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Cheers

OK, I puzzled over where to put this question, but on reflection, Slackware seems like the wrong place.

If the mods could move it to the software forum, I'd be grateful, I don't want to post twice.

Cheers
