My Logo is better
Can we help Patrick Volkerding to have a better logo for Slackware Linux? Please post here your creations.
This is mine: http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/319/mylogojn7.png
It was made in GIMP (Slackware-current), with a cheap graphic tablet.

I just want the old logo (no need for a new one, IMHO), so that I can change "Slackwars" in my LQ profile back to "Slackware".

Exactly. The new logo wouldn't be that bad if it was made well enough to actually look like what it says..or then it simply was intentional. Go figure..

I look forward to the day when I can visit the Slackwars site and see a Slackware logo, preferably the old one.

Why do I care what other distro-users think of Slackware's logo? They already think Slackware is an aging dinosaur that is too complex for someone with a PhD in computer engineering to use. I know different, but they certainly do not. At least they're mentioning Slackware in the first place. Right?

Well those of us that run Slackware have become somewhat elite... I don't care what the logo looks like. It's the performance under the hood that counts...

The old one was quite good, the new on is hardly readable. Ok, give me a few days and I'll post mine. Not that it will really change anything, maybe I'll submit it to the propaganda page afterwards.

Ok, during that time I installed inkscape and made a new logo, it's now on my website (link in my sig), but as I know people have trouble accessing it, here it is on an image host:
http://img228.imageshack.us/my.php?i...roundv2lt8.png
Oh, and I have also submitted this to the propaganda page.
