Multiple copies of Firefox running after upgrade to 10

Having done my upgrade and sorted out all the teething troubles, I just had a bit of a shock when I did a ps -aux and saw this little lot. Any ideas on why I'm going off the scale with versions of firefox & the java plugin?

As a guess I'd say a bad java applet or some such from a web page you visited.

It runs multiple firefoxes even without accessing a site with Java.

And I can't use command-line navigation controls on Firefox any more either.

What version of FF?

oneandoneis2 07-01-2004 03:28 AM

Ehhh... 0.8, IIRC. It worked fine before upgrading from 9.1 to 10..

Aussie 07-01-2004 03:32 AM

Try it with FF0.91

oneandoneis2 07-01-2004 12:58 PM

Hasn't helped. Still leads to multiple Firefox's, and dozens of Javas open up as well.

Wierd, I'm not getting anything like that.
