Multilib system; dependency question

Gday, i've just got multilib all set up on my 64 bit system. I would like to install wine which is 32bit, but it has some dependencies.
My question is, do the dependencies need to be compiled in 32bit aswell for wine to use them? or do i just compile them normally and wine is the only one that need differently?

32-bit applications need 32-bit dependencies. 64-bit applications need 64-bit dependencies.

32-bit applications need 32-bit dependencies, but you must install compat32 packages (http://connie.slackware.com/~alien/m...re64-compat32/), if you install normal 32-bit package you probably will have a problems.

I installed wine using i486 package (http://sourceforge.net/projects/wine...g.txz/download), when I try to run winecfg in terminal it shows me what libraries are needed.

Thanks guys. I've already got compat32 installed, just wasn't sure about third party package dependencies.
