Multilib Package Installing Without CD
So,
I've been installing Alien Bob's Multilib packages so that I can be able to run wine and finally use Skype to call family across seas. However, I've run into a problem, where the guide (http://alien.slackbook.org/dokuwiki/...kware:multilib) asks to create the slackware64-compat32 subfolder and asks to use the DVD. Unfortunately I didn't buy the DVD and have currently lost the DVD that did contain the .iso file, and so I'm wondering how I go about installing this correctly with the "mkdir" command, as I lack the knowledge to use any of the Slackware.com mirrors (I'm using oregonstate.edu if that helps). |
Without a Slackware DVD (or a local mirror copy on a hard disk) you have two options, as mentioned in that same Wiki article:
Download the Slackware packages automatically from the Internet: Quote:

Thank you Alien Bob. I didn't see that quoted part on the Wikipedia page, and I'm surprised you're up at this hour too. ^^
