mplayer_instalation_error


I'm trying to install mplayer but at make it gives me this error:

what is the problem?

Eh.. ok.. what are the commands you're issuing related to this so called "installation" ? (from beginning to end) and where are you issuing them. It looks like a "make" but have you ./configured etc. ? No idea. Please give more info.

Why not just download the slackbuild from here:

http://www.slackbuilds.org/repositor...media/MPlayer/

and install mplayer that way. I did this earlier today on my Slackware 11 installation without problems.

Do you have "jack" installed ?

If not, try to add smth like " --disable-jack" to the "./configure" params.
( type "./configure --help" for the correct syntax )

What version of Slackware are you trying to install mplayer on?

You can grab a .tgz file at LinuxPackages
