MPlayer and slackbuilds.
 

Hi:
I installed MPlayer from the MPlayer site source package(s). Now, because somethings go wrong with it, I want to uninstall and install slackbuilds package instead. However, when I installed from the MPlayer site, afterwards I deleted the directory from which I had made the installation. As a result, I can't use 'make' to uninstall. What do I do? I can do 'locate -i mplayer' and delete all the entries shown by locate. But there can be many directories and files still going around there which could interfere with the slackbuilds installation. Thanks in advance.

Untar mplayer source. Run ./configure with the same flags you used before. Run make uninstall.
