I'm using Slackware 10.0 with kernel 2.6.7 from /testing.
Every time it boots, a symlimk /dev/mouse is created, pointing to /dev/psaux . But my mouse is located at /dev/ttyS0.
I red something about mouses and kernel 2.6.
1) An easy solution to this problem could be adding something like
rm /dev/mouse; ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/mouse to rc.local, but I *want* to know what's doing this problem - I want to know what my system is doing. I don't like this "solution", since it gets around the problem but doesn't solve it.
Tsc.
2) A probably solution: I knew recently it appears that kernel 2.6 from Slack has an option of direct all input events of /dev/input/mice to /dev/psaux. Hasn't /dev/input/mice to capture events of /dev/ttyS0? How can I tell /dev/input/mice that /dev/ttyS0 is a mouse?
Have you got any other idea?
Tks.
