Well, you have to be more specific, does it work in the console? or X is the only problem?

Well i can login as root in the beginning...then i type startx and the mouse dosen't work. I don't kno if its working when i'm logging in or not, there appears to be no mouse. ( I chose IMPS2/2 for my mouse)

The protocol should be IMPS/2 not IMPS2/2, also try Auto as protocol if that doesn't work.

Open with your favourite editor the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf
There you should fine a input section with your mouse configuration.

as an alternative, you can try running "mouseconfig" from the command line. That should give you the list of all your options and set up gpm for you. Either try auto or usb mouse.

This has been covered extensively in the archives.
I have a logitech optical wheel mouse, here is the section in xorg.conf:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
#Option "Protocol" "auto"
Option "Protlocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection

Don't just cut and paste... Modify your existing mouse section to match. The important parts are the lines:
Code:
Option "Protlocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
That's what makes your scroll wheel work.
And (at least for my usb mouse), the device line had to be changed.
Code:
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Instead of "dev/mouse"
