mouse doesn't work after resuming from standby mode

Hi

I have a laptop IBM X31 and I am really satisfied with ACPI. when I go to standby mode by using:

# echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep

everything is ok. but when I resume the session, my mouse doesn't work.

ps -ef shows this:

/usr/sbin/gpm -m /dev/mouse -t ps2

but restart of gpm doesn't help. it happens just nothing.

any ideas how could I restart "mouse daemon"?

I am using Slack 9.1/2.6.0 with Dropline.

M.
