Part of my fstab, this works with any user and doesn't give permission to others.
/dev/hdb1 /win/c ntfs noauto,gid=100,user,umask=007 1 0
/dev/hdb2 /win/d vfat noauto,gid=100,user,umask=007 1 0
I'll explain the parameters i gave:
noauto means that i shouldn't mount when boot, you can remove it and the partitions will be mounted on boot.
gid = 100 means that the group owner of that dirs is 100 (100 is users on slack default install)
user allows a ordinary user to mount it
umask = 007 means that the files have read, write, execute permissions for owner and group, nothing for others (it's the opposite to chmod numbers)
Of course, change to match your drivers & mount points
Edit: forgot to say, if you have a doubt just: man fstab
