Mounting and various hd quesions

Hello,
I've been using Linux for quite sometime but the temptation to game is just too great..and I mean Linux games are great but I want to get CS:s and others working..so I guess what I'm trying to say is I need to dual boot. I need to mount a hard drive, partition the free space in it (because games are taking up some of it), and install windows in it. How would I come around mounting and partitioning it in Slack?

You've got it backwards. You partition it first, then you make filesystems on it, then you mount it (if you want to do so).
You'll have to be more specific about type of disk before anyone can go farther.

I've played native Linux Doom I,II,III and Quake I,II,IV and use Wine successfully to play Half-Life 1 & 2 (including Steam).
Maybe there is no need for you to have a dual boot at all. Checkout the Wine AppDB to see how good Wine supports your favourite Windows game!

I've used wine before, but it is just easier if I have Windows anyway as there are certain programs that my uni. doesn't make available in Linux so a dual boot is somewhat required. But it is a SATA drive. And to be honest. I would rather keep simply Slackware, but I cannot seem to get 3d rendering and my ATI drivers to agree with me...
