mount


When I mount my cdrom on /mnt/cdrom, on desktop appears cdrom icon, how do I make when I mount my dvd on /mnt/dvd to appear on desktop?
And second, when I put my cd/dev in my cd/dvd reader, how do I make to automount?

Hello :-)
To see your icon in the desktop, you have to go to Control Center>Desktop>Device Icons.
To enable automount you have to have HAL. search this forum, there is a nice post about enabling HAL in Slackware.
