Modprobe Error While Booting New Kernel

Well, I'm trying to compile a working kernel for my Slackware 9.1 system. It's less than 1MB and no modules are being loaded. It's all being compiled into the kernel. Now to my problem. I get the kernel compiled and installed. When I try and boot with my newly compiled kernel, I get a continuous error.

modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module net-pf-1

Over and over and over again. I have no idea what this could be. Any help is appreciated.

PS: I searched all of LQ and found nothing.

Hi there ...

You switched something off/left it as a module
that you might require?

Do a
less /usr/src/linux/Documentation/Configure.help
and then
/net-pf-1

Cheers,
Tink

sure you did "make modules" and make "modules_install" when you compiled your kernel?
