mlt 0.8.20 compile error


Trying to install kdenlive on slackware 14 with multilib

Mlt 0.8.2 wont compile as hoped
The lst line is the error ,

javac: relocation error: javac: symbol JLI_Launch, version SUNWprivate_1.1 not defined in file libjli.so with link time reference

It seem a java error , but hey what do I know

Any ideas

Googling for your exact provided text showed that someone else with the error solved it by installing a (for their distro) package named 'jre-dev' version 7(?).

So, have you installed the jdk for the latest java, or upgraded to the latest?

jre and jdk can be found at http://taper.alienbase.nl/mirrors/pe...dk/pkg64/14.0/

I upgraded jdk as sugested ..
