Missing /etc/lilo.conf File
Hi, using Slackware 13.1 64-bit and thinking of an upgrade or re-install.
As prep work I started backing up key files.
I noticed that I am missing the /etc/lilo.conf currently on my system.
I have run a "find" looking for it in some other location, but no luck.
I ran this command and confirmed that I am using LILO instead of GRUB.
dd if=/dev/sda bs=512 count=1 2>&1 | grep LILO
dd if=/dev/sda bs=512 count=1 2>&1 | grep GRUB
Instead of restoring the lilo.conf from backup (not sure when it could have gone missing), is there a way to recreate it???
Would I just have to re-run liloconfig??? Or would this cause further problems?
Can I just recreate the text file lilo.conf in etc with a "default" file and then customize the entries for my system?
Thanks!
